Get Fit with Water Aerobics at The Sportscenter in Concord

Water aerobics is a great way to exercise without added stress to your muscles and joints. In fact, water provides a great workout to strengthen your heart, muscles, and joints for improved endurance, function, balance, and flexibility.

The Sportscenter Fitness & Athletic Club gym in Concord offers 3 different water aerobics classes:

  • Advanced Deep Water is a 45-minute, non-impact workout in the deep end of the pool. This workout also allows for an optional lower body workout using muscular and cardiovascular training and flexibility, and exercise belts are used to assist with buoyancy. *Advanced Deep Water classes are offered every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:00 am.
  • Shallow H2O is a 45-minute, intermediate level class that focuses on muscle strength, flexibility, and continuous aerobic activity. A group class that minimizes stress to the bones and joints, Shallow H2O is great for both beginners and mature exercisers. Noodles, weights, and balls are sometimes added for variety and fun! *Shallow H2O classes are offered every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 10:00 am.
  • Fit ‘n Fun is a 45-minute low-impact class especially helpful for those with medical conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis (MS), and other chronic illnesses. Class emphasis is on improved balance and coordination, muscle strength, and flexibility. *Fit ‘n Fun classes are offered every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11:00 am.

Following class every Monday, the Sportscenter Fitness & Athletic Club offers an organized time of fellowship at the Coffee and Smoothie Bar – complete with an assortment of pastries, fruit, and coffee.
