Barre Studio at The Sportscenter Fitness & Athletic Club in Concord

Inspired by ballet, yoga, and Pilates, barre is a 60-minute class that combines strength and cardio exercise to burn fat and build muscle.

A certified trainer will lead you through exercises that focus on isometric strength training (holding your body still while contracting a specific set of muscles) for proper alignment, form, flexibility and posture. Barre can be a challenge, but the results are a stronger, more toned, and healthier you.

Barre group fitness classes at The Sportscenter Fitness & Athletic club are held in the Fitness Studio. The barre is used as a prop for exercises involving balance and flexibility; some light handheld weights may also be used. A mat is provided for core work.

And the best part? No shoes are required for barre class at our gym in Concord!
